Looking Back on 2018

2018 was our first full calendar year in business, and it turned out to be even bigger and better than we had anticipated! By the end of 2018 we had enjoyed five wonderful small group tours of Japan, two fully escorted private tours of Japan, and received nothing but positive feedback from 27 satisfied customers who we had helped enjoy Japan to the fullest!

Most of our small group tours ended up having 3 or 4 people on them, but our Summer Festivals Tour 2018 which ran from July 23rd to August 5th, 2018 reached the maximum number of 10! We believe that keeping our small group tours to a maximum of 10 people helps make the tour a more friendly and personal experience. Both Akemi and I have tour guiding experience where we have guided up to 60 people, but we don't believe this is the best thing for the paying customer. That is why we decided to keep the maximum number of people on any of our small group tours to 10.

Some of the positive feedback we received from our happy customers included that we were very helpful and responsive during the planning stages of our tours, that our tours all ran smoothly with no major hiccups, that we were both friendly and professional, and most importantly that we had helped our customers have a great time in Japan! One piece of positive feedback that we received from several customers was that I did not bore them with idle chit chat or useless information. This is something else that Akemi and I also believe tour guides with larger groups tend to do too much of - talk, talk, and talk some more! We prefer to let you enjoy the moment and the scenery around you instead of pumping you full of information that you will not even remember by the end of the tour.
