There's light at the end of the tunnel

After more than 18 months on the sidelines there are finally some encouraging signs that a gradual restart of international travel to Japan may begin from later this year or early 2022.

After a sluggish start, Japan's Covid-19 vaccination rate has risen sharply over the past few months. As of today 53% of the total population have been fully vaccinated and more than 65% have received at least one dose. The government plans to provide vaccinations to everyone who wants one by November this year, reaching a vaccination rate of approximately 80%. As with many other countries, the Japanese government plans on easing a variety of restrictions as the vaccination rate rises. This gives us hope that we will be able to restart tours again sooner rather than later.

Although international travel to Japan may begin from later this year, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming Shades of Autumn Tour 2021 (November 22nd to December 5th, 2021), and have also decided to defer all fully escorted private tours until December 31st, 2021.

On the bright side we have successfully relocated to Japan, and are feeling more and more optimistic that we will be back providing customers with unique, fun filled tours of Japan as early as January 2022! Our next scheduled small group tour is our Winter Wonders Tour 2022 starting on January 26th, 2022.

Once things open up we expect to be extremely busy, so if you are interested in one of our fully escorted private or small group tours of Japan we'd suggest getting in early. For peace of mind we have recently added a "special exemption" to our cancellation policy for all 2022 tours. If you need to cancel your place on a tour due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, we will keep your deposit in credit for use on a future tour of your choice and refund the remaining balance in full.

We are REALLY looking forward to getting back to some kind or normality in 2022, and can't wait to see you on one of our tours!
